A walkthrough comes before any number
We do not price painting over the phone, because two houses of the same size can need very different amounts of work. One has sound paint that only needs a wash and two coats. The other has peeling fascia, a dozen open caulk joints and a soft window sill. On the walkthrough we note every repair, talk through colors and sheens, and then give you a written scope that lists prep, products, coats and the price.
If something on the scope does not make sense, ask. We would rather explain why a south wall needs a primer coat than have you wonder later why the bid was higher than a neighbor's.
Prep is most of the job
Paint is only as good as the surface under it. Exterior work starts with washing, scraping and sanding to sound edges, replacing rotted wood, and cutting out failed caulk. Interior work starts with protecting floors and furniture, filling and sanding, taping and floating cracks, and priming patches and stains so they do not flash through the finish.
We would rather spend an extra day on prep than come back in two summers to a peeling soffit. That habit shows up in how long the paint lasts, which is the part you live with.
Someone answers the phone, any hour
Our phone is answered 24/7. You can call on a Sunday night when you finally have time to think about the kitchen, or early in the morning after a storm when you notice the trim took a beating. We will take down what you need and set a walkthrough time that fits your week.
Where we paint
Fort Worth is the center of our work, including historic neighborhoods like Fairmount, Ryan Place and Arlington Heights, the brick ranches of Wedgwood, Ridglea Hills and Tanglewood, and the newer HOA communities of Park Glen, Summerfields and Heritage. We also paint in cities across Tarrant, Parker, Johnson and Denton counties, from Arlington and Mansfield to Keller, Southlake and Weatherford.
Who writes our painting guides
Edith Sprague, our Painting Insights Editor, writes and maintains the guides on this site. She turns the questions we hear on walkthroughs into plain answers about costs, timing, sheens, brick finishes, fence stain schedules and HOA color approval, and she updates them when products or local conditions change.
